Pricing tiers that don't scare fans away
Three, not seven. Clear names, honest fees. A short field guide to ticket tiers that actually convert.

The single most common mistake we see on a new event page isn't the price — it's the number of prices. Seven tiers with names like "Early Bird Phase 2" and "Final Release Plus" don't read as choice. They read as pressure, and pressure makes people close the tab.
The events that convert best tend to do the opposite. Three tiers, maximum. Names a stranger can understand in a second — General, Early, VIP. A clear reason to move up, and a clear reason to buy now.
Be honest about fees early. A price that jumps at the last step costs you more trust than the few dollars it adds ever earns back. Showing the all-in number up front consistently beats a low headline price followed by a surprise.
Use scarcity that's real. "Last 50 at this price" works when there are genuinely 50 left and the counter moves. Invent it and you train your most loyal buyers to ignore you.
None of this is about charging less. It's about removing the small frictions between wanting to come and actually buying. Fewer tiers, plainer names, honest totals — that's most of the gap, closed.

Bought tickets to two events this month off the back of recommendations like these. Keep them coming.

Finally someone said it. The clarity point is so underrated — half the events I almost buy lose me at a confusing tier list.

100%. Tier names that read like inside jokes are the worst offenders.

Was at one of these nights last month and can confirm. The room makes the whole thing — you stay for the arc like the article says.
