Cookie policy

Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device to remember things between page loads and visits. We also use similar technologies — local storage, pixels, and device identifiers — and we refer to all of them as “cookies” here. Some are set by us; some are set by the partners whose services we use.

Required for the platform to work — keeping you signed in (our authentication provider sets a first-party session cookie), holding your cart during checkout, remembering your currency and language, and protecting against fraud and abuse. These are always on and never ask for consent, because the marketplace can't function without them.

With your consent, we and event organisers measure how pages and flows perform — how you arrived, which events you viewed, where checkout drops off — so we can improve them. Our own product telemetry is server-side and privacy-preserving: it strips cookies and email before anything is stored, and it never identifies you personally. Organisers may also run analytics tools such as Google Analytics on their own event pages. Analytics stays off until you turn it on.

With your consent, event organisers can run advertising and conversion pixels — such as Meta, TikTok, or Snapchat — on their own event pages, to measure and improve their campaigns. 263tickets sets no advertising cookies of its own and does not run cross-site advertising; these pixels are configured by individual organisers, load only on the events that enable them, and stay off until you accept marketing cookies.

When you first visit — and any time after — the cookie banner lets you accept everything, reject everything non-essential, or save your own choice per category (Analytics, Marketing). Optional cookies start switched off, so nothing in those categories loads until you opt in. We remember your decision for next time; clear your browser's site data to be asked again. You can also block or clear cookies in your browser settings, though blocking strictly-necessary cookies will break sign-in and checkout.
