Designing an event page that sells
Most pages lose the sale in the first scroll — on doubt, not price. Answer four questions above the fold and get out of the way.

Most event pages lose the sale in the first scroll. Not on price, not on line-up — on doubt. The visitor can't immediately tell what it is, when it is, where it is, and what a ticket costs, so they leave to "check later" and never come back.
The pages that convert answer those four questions above the fold and in that order. A clear image, a plain title, the date and venue in machine-readable type, and a price that isn't hidden behind a click. Everything else — the long description, the FAQ, the gallery — can wait.
Cut the choices, too. A single obvious "Get tickets" button beats three competing calls to action. If you must offer tiers, name them so a stranger understands them in a second, and show the all-in price before checkout, not after.
None of this is design flair. It's removing reasons to hesitate. The best event page is the one that lets someone who already wants to come finish the job without thinking.

Was at one of these nights last month and can confirm. The room makes the whole thing — you stay for the arc like the article says.

Would love a follow-up with actual numbers. The trend is real but I'm curious how it looks outside Harare.

Sharing this with our whole organising team. The bit about saying yes to demand quickly is exactly the lesson we learned the hard way.

Same here. We almost missed a second show date because we hesitated for a week.

The hard way is the only way some of us learn it, apparently 😅
